A great catch on a great field.

Two methods for baseball field drainage are shown below. Both methods use strip drains to collect water on the field. Strip drains funnel water away from the field to collector drains along the perimeter of the field. The collector drains empty into catch basins.

The illustration above depicts drains running across the field at even angles. The diagram below shows more a greater concentration of drains wicking water at an angle to the playing field.
